Physiotherapy

As physiotherapists, we help diagnose and rehabilitate injuries while providing education and advice on health promotion and injury prevention. Our approach is one-on-one, personalized, and holistic. We view each client as a whole person, and your hobbies, sports, occupation, past injuries, and full history all matter to us. Your treatment may include a combination of clinical Pilates, strength and mobility training, manual therapy, soft tissue therapy, and dry needling. We don’t believe in purely passive treatment, so come prepared to move.

Manual therapy is often mentioned when discussing common physiotherapy services, but what does it really mean? Manual therapy refers to any form of hands-on treatment designed to reduce inflammation and movement restrictions, improve tissue extensibility, increase joint range of motion, influence muscle function, relieve pain, and promote relaxation. Treatment may include passive range of motion, targeted joint mobilizations, stretching, soft tissue release techniques, and gentle mobilization of the nervous system.

Unlike traditional acupuncture, dry needling targets specific anatomical structures that contribute to musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction. Inserting fine needles into these areas helps control pain, improve function, and accelerate healing. The needle insertion triggers the release of natural substances that increase blood flow to tight areas and reduce pain sensitivity. A thorough initial assessment with your physiotherapist will determine whether this treatment is appropriate for you.

What Our Clients Say

"Karen Boyle in FreeForm Physio is the best physiotherapist I've ever had!
I suffered from lower back injury + pinched nerv for almost a year, tried other physios, chiro, acupuncture, osteopath but no one was able to help until I've got recommendation for Karen. In only a month my health issues got into minimal pain level, exercises are simple but effective. Karen found out connection between my lower back pain and my wrong rotating hip posture which no one of my physiotherapists before saw! Truly as a real Detective number One! So happy to get into her hands!"
