Concussion Rehabilitation
A concussion is an injury to the brain that causes a temporary disturbance in how it functions. In most cases, symptoms resolve within one to two weeks, and the brain typically recovers physiologically within about 30 days. However, sometimes symptoms can persist beyond this timeframe.

Common concussion symptoms include headache, neck pain, sensitivity to light or noise, visual problems, dizziness, balance issues, nausea, vomiting, memory problems, difficulty concentrating, psychological changes, fatigue, and trouble sleeping.
A concussion can occur with or without a direct blow to the head. It is considered a whiplash-type injury, meaning that even a hit to the body can be forceful enough to cause a concussion.
If you have experienced an injury and suspect a concussion, it is important to seek treatment as soon as possible. Early education and guidance are critical to reducing the risk of prolonged or persistent symptoms.
